Terms of Service

By connecting a wallet to, downloading or otherwise using the Sudo client ("the Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By connecting a wallet you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are not located in, under the control of or a national of any sanctioned jurisdiction.

Sudo does not issue accounts. Your blockchain wallet is your identity. You alone control the private key that signs into Sudo, signs payments and signs escrow actions. Sudo Labs has no ability to recover, suspend or restore wallet keys.

Keep your seed phrase, hardware wallet or recovery key safe. We strongly recommend social recovery (e.g. Safe / Argent) or a hardware signer for any meaningful balance.

Sudo Labs never takes custody of your funds. All on-chain actions — payments, escrow funding, name minting, validator bonding and mining claims — are executed by your wallet against public smart contracts. You retain sole ownership and control of your assets at all times.

You agree not to use the Service to send spam, harass others, distribute malware, infringe intellectual property, launder funds, evade sanctions, or otherwise violate applicable law. You are solely responsible for the content of your messages, the smart contracts you deploy and the addresses you transact with.

SUDO mining rewards are paid for verifiable engagement with the protocol. SUDO is a utility token; see the EULA for jurisdictional and risk notes. Mining is not employment and Sudo Labs has no obligation to maintain any particular emission rate, value or buy-back program.

Escrow funds are held by an audited smart contract, not by Sudo Labs. In a dispute the validator network — not Sudo Labs — issues a verdict. Validator decisions are final and executed by the contract; Sudo Labs cannot reverse them.

Standard payments executed through Sudo are blockchain transactions and cannot be reversed by Sudo Labs. If you wish to retain a dispute right, use Sudo Escrow instead.

You retain ownership of the content you post. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, Sudo Labs cannot access them. By sending you grant recipients (and any group of recipients you choose) the rights necessary to receive and display the content.

You can stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting your wallet. Sudo Labs may, where legally required, refuse to relay messages from specific wallets — but cannot block your wallet from interacting directly with on-chain Sudo contracts.

The Service is provided "as is". Crypto assets carry significant risk and may lose value. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sudo Labs disclaims all warranties and limits aggregate liability to the greater of (a) US$100 or (b) any amounts paid to Sudo Labs in the 12 months prior to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in San Francisco, except for small-claims matters or injunctive relief.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the in-app notice center and by an on-chain announcement from the Sudo Labs treasury. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
