Escrow upgrade

One toggle turns a payment into a contract.

Big purchase or sketchy counterparty? Toggle Escrow and your funds lock in an audited smart contract until both sides confirm — or the validator network steps in.

  • Multi-token: stables, ETH, SUDO, any ERC-20
  • Configurable timelocks (24h, 7d, custom)
  • Milestone splits — release as work gets done
  • Disputes resolved by hidden 3-of-5 validator panels

Capabilities

Everything you'd want in a payment app

Slash commands

Type /pay 50 USDC @vitalia and confirm in your wallet. Done.

Cross-chain

Pay from Base, receive on Arbitrum. Bridges happen in the background.

Group splits

Split a bill across 12 wallets in one signature. Fair-share or custom amounts.

Recurring

Stream salary, subscriptions or rev-share with continuous on-chain transfers.

Spend limits

Pre-approve a daily / per-app limit so you never re-sign for small amounts.

Optional escrow

Mark any payment as escrowed and the validator network steps in if anything's off.

Tokens

If your wallet holds it, Sudo can send it.

Trust signals

What the team won't do

We never custody your funds

Sudo can't initiate a transfer. Only your wallet can.

We never reverse a payment

Once it's on-chain, it's on-chain. Disputes go to the validator network — not Sudo support.

We never gate transfers

If a chain is up and your wallet works, your payment goes through. There's no allow-list at our layer.

FAQ

Payments, answered

Does Sudo take a fee?+
Standard payments are gas-only — Sudo takes nothing. Escrow charges 0.5% on settlement (capped at 25 USDC), distributed to the validator network.
What if I send to the wrong address?+
Standard payments are irreversible — same as any wallet-to-wallet transfer. Use Escrow if you want a safety net.
Can I undo a tip?+
No, but you can ask the recipient to send it back. Sudo never custodies funds, so we have nothing to refund.
Are payments private?+
Transactions are on-chain (and therefore public) by default. Stealth-address support for private receivers ships in v1.4.
Which chains are cheapest?+
Base, Arbitrum, Optimism and Polygon zkEVM all settle for fractions of a cent. Mainnet Ethereum works but you'll pay normal gas.
Sudo is a non-custodial wallet interface. We do not provide financial, legal, accounting or tax advice. Crypto assets carry risk; see the EULA for risk and licence details.
