1. Be a good actor
Treat people with respect, even when you're pseudonymous. Disagree on ideas, never on identity. Sudo is for builders, traders, creators and curious newcomers — make space for all of them.
2. No harassment, threats or hate
We have zero tolerance for targeted harassment, threats, doxxing or hate speech based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristic.
3. No scams or financial exploitation
Sending fake airdrop links, drainer contracts, fake mint URLs or impersonating a wallet, brand or team will get your wallet flagged and your messages auto-quarantined.
Soliciting investments, running unregistered token sales, or operating an unregistered escrow business via Sudo is prohibited.
4. No mining manipulation
Sybil farming, paid ‘message rings’ designed to farm pair rewards, or coordinated reactions to manipulate channel mining are violations and will result in a wallet ban from mining (mining only — your messages still work).
5. Respect privacy and consent
Don't share private DMs publicly without consent. Don't link a pseudonymous wallet to a real-world identity without permission. Don't record voice or video calls without explicit on-call consent.
6. No illegal content
Child sexual abuse material, terrorism content, non-consensual intimate imagery, and content that violates the law in your jurisdiction are absolutely prohibited. Reports of illegal content are escalated to relevant authorities.
7. Respect intellectual property
Don't share copyrighted material you don't have rights to. Don't mint NFTs of art that isn't yours. We respond to valid DMCA / equivalent takedown notices.
8. Smart-group & community owners
If you operate a smart-group, you're responsible for the channels you create. Set clear rules, enforce them, and make moderators visible. Communities that fail to address rampant violations may be removed from Discover.
9. Validators
Validators must follow the validator policy: honest voting, on-time participation, no off-platform collusion. Violations are slashable on-chain.
10. Enforcement
Violations are handled at three levels:
- Warning — informational nudge, no visibility impact.
- Surface throttling — wallet hidden from Discover, search and recommendations.
- Relay deny-list — Sudo Labs declines to relay messages from the wallet. The wallet can still interact with on-chain Sudo contracts directly.
11. Appeals
Every enforcement action can be appealed via the feedback page. Appeals against deny-listing escalate to a 5-validator panel; majority overturns the action.
12. Reporting
Tap the report icon on any DM, message or community to file a report. For urgent safety threats email safety@su.do; for security vulnerabilities use the bug bounty.
